Register for the Couch to 5K program to get ready for the 38th Annual Spirit Run
If your list of New Year’s resolutions includes becoming more fit, Spirit Run has a way to jump start your training. Register for their Couch to 5K Program.
Couch to 5K is perfect for new runners and those needing a tune up. Their coaches will slowly and gently prepare you for Spirit Run’s 5K.
Couch to 5K training is scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-7 p.m. at Newport Harbor High School beginning January 31 and culminating in participating in the Spirit Run on Sunday, March 27.

You’ll enjoy their friendly and experienced coaches. Coach Ashton is excited to return to their Couch to 5K program. Ashton competed for UCI’s Cross Country and Track Team where he made the Big West All-Academic Team three consecutive years, so Spirit Run is thrilled to welcome Coach Thomas back. Thomas is a USA Olympic Trials Qualifier in the Half Marathon and the 2020 Surf City Marathon Champion. He ran for Princeton and Corona del Mar High School.
