COVID-19: 12 new deaths reported in OC

Sadly, OC Health Care Agency reports that 1,105 people have died due to COVID-19 in Orange County, including 12 new deaths reported today (September 15). There have been 21 deaths of Newport Beach residents to date.

The county reports that there have been 51,124 cumulative cases countywide to date, an increase of 150 cases today.

The county reports that there have been 1,092 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Newport Beach to date. This represents a per capita rate of 12.526 cases per thousand residents.

The county reports that 40 percent of ICU beds and 63 percent of ventilators are currently available countywide.

The county reports that 201 individuals are currently hospitalized with COVID-19 (includes ICU); 67 are in ICU.

The county estimates 45,626 “recovered cases” according to its data criteria.
