Back Bay Bash at Upper Newport Bay

In the late 1960s, the Friends of Newport Bay organized Back Bay Bashes to raise awareness and financial support to save the bay from pending development. Many obstacles were faced along the way, but they always found a way to keep moving forward.

This year, the obstacles are much different.

Upper Newport Bay is holding its Back Bay Bash, a virtual FUNdraiser, on Saturday, Aug. 1. It takes only $10 to register on Eventbrite, which gives you access to the virtual launch party from 6-7 p.m.

Those who register for the launch party will receive a virtual package that evening with a variety of activities & games, kids crafts, recipes and more. If you can’t join the virtual event on Saturday, you can still register to receive everything to create your Back Bay Bash another day.

In addition, Upper Newport Bay has put together one-of-a-kind experiences via an Online Auction with items donated by local merchants and friends. There is no cost to sign up. Register here to be able to start bidding on Saturday, Aug. 1 through Saturday, Aug. 15.
