An impressive panel of involved members of city commissions and committees will join former mayor and current city councilperson Diane Dixon at the April meeting of Speak Up Newport on Wednesday, April 14 from 4-5 p.m.

Speak Up Newport understands that many Newport Beach citizens currently or desire to volunteer their time to assist and advise the Newport Beach City Council. The panel will discuss the principal ways to get involved and to communicate the essential steps for residents to get appointed to the Board of Library Trustees, City Arts Commission, Harbor Commission, Parks, Beaches & Recreation Commission, Planning Commission, as well as many others. 

The meeting is free and will be shared via Zoom. Attendees are required to register here.

Speak Up Newport is a non-profit, non-partisan citizens group organized to promote the common good and general welfare of the Newport Beach community. Founded in 1979, it meets monthly, presenting a public forum to hear topics of interest to the local community. It also produces the Mayor’s Dinner each February, featuring the Mayor’s annual State of the City address.
