ENC offers Before & After School Nature Camp

Time in nature is critical for children’s development. But too often, time in nature is considered “nice to have,” instead of essential to what makes kids healthy, happy and resilient. Children need nature now more than ever.

The Environmental Nature Center’s (ENC’s) Winter Before & After School Nature Camps begin on Monday, Jan. 18. Registration is open, but space is limited. Campers explore safely outside in the fresh air and make discoveries with friends.

Students attending school in the afternoons can spend their mornings (9-11 a.m.) at ENC, while students attending school in the mornings can spend their afternoons (1:30-4:30 p.m.) at ENC.

Youngsters engage in an outdoor project during ENC’s winter camp

All camps this winter are for students enrolled in kindergarten through third grade, and are offered in two-week sessions, with a choice to enroll Monday, Wednesday and Friday, or Tuesday and Thursday.

ENC’s Before & After School Nature Camps provide a safe opportunity for campers to get outside for physical activity, hands-on learning, socialization and nature play. Students attending school in person or at home will be provided with critical programming they need to re-engage, re-connect and thrive.

The ENC adheres to the most up-to-date health and safety standards from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the OC Health Care Agency. Learn more about the Camp COVID-19 policies at https://encenter.org/camps/.
